Records Management

• BVR has been reprimanded in the past for poor records management. They have failed audits dating back to the 1990s.  

• Most recently, a 2016 Inspector General's report noted that their records were vulnerable to damage or loss, and that few people had the institutional knowledge to properly locate records.

Selected Complaints

• BVR maintains a file of complaints from the public. Within the last few years, they received more than 2,000 pages of complaints. 

• Frustrated citizens have written to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General in hopes of getting help obtaining records.
